Just after midnight, chaos hit near Heartlands Hospital. At 12.31 a.m., two men showed up at the emergency department, reportedly injured in a shooting nearby. Ambulance crews were quick to respond, with paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor, and a critical care paramedic all rushing to the scene.
One Man Dies Despite Advanced Life Support
On arrival, we found two men,” a West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said.
The first man had life-threatening wounds. Paramedics delivered advanced life support efforts on the spot. Sadly, their heroic attempts failed, and the man was pronounced dead.
Second Victim Treated and Taken to Hospital
The second man suffered less severe injuries. Ambulance teams treated him at the scene before transferring him to the hospital for further care.
