Serious Collision Sparks Violent Incident in Paisley – Police Launch Urgent Appeal
Detectives in Paisley are on the hunt for witnesses following a wild disturbance after a crash involving an Audi Q7 and a Ford Fiesta on Friday, 4 August.
Crash Ends in Assault and Car Set Ablaze
The smash happened around 7.40pm on Braehead Road. The collision quickly escalated into a chaotic scene involving several people. A 29-year-old man was seriously assaulted and rushed to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Not long after, the Ford Fiesta was found ablaze on Grampian Avenue, sending shockwaves through the community.
Police Plead for Witnesses and CCTV Footage
Detective Sergeant Jason Buxton of Paisley CID revealed officers are carrying out door-to-door inquiries and combing through CCTV footage to crack the case.
“Any little detail could be vital,” Buxton stressed. “We need anyone who saw the crash, disturbance, or the car fire to get in touch.
Authorities are especially interested in dashcam or private CCTV footage from the area that might show the incident or the burning vehicle.
