Man Hurt After Cyclist Crashes into Him on Pavement in Lenton
A 50-year-old man was struck by a cyclist riding on the pavement as he stepped out of a shop on Ilkeston Road, Lenton.
The collision happened around 5.45pm on 4 March 2023, leaving the man with minor injuries.
Police Launch Investigation and Seek Witness
Nottinghamshire Police have opened an investigation and released images of a man they want to speak to regarding the incident.
“It’s illegal for anyone to ride a bike on the pavement precisely because of incidents like this,” said Sergeant Mark Southgate.
“While the victim only suffered minor injuries on this occasion, this should serve as a warning to any cyclist about what could happen.”
“We believe the man in these pictures could have information to assist our investigation, so we’d ask anyone who recognises him to get in touch.”
