Violence Erupts Outside King’s Head Pub

A man walking home along Bridge Road in Salisbury faced a brutal assault after picking up groceries from Tesco Metro just after 10pm. He spotted two men standing opposite the King’s Head pub—one with a dog.

Dog Kick Claim Sparks Attack

One of the men accused the victim of kicking his dog after it approached him. Tempers flared fast. The attacker shoved and punched the victim in the face, sparking a violent confrontation.

Bus Scuffle Ends in Dog Bite

Fleeing the fight, the victim boarded the PR3 bus near the British Heart Foundation shop—but the attacker and his dog followed. A second scuffle broke out on the bus, during which the dog bit the victim twice, leaving wounds on his leg and knee.

Police Hunt Bulldog-Type Dog Owner

The bus driver intervened and took the victim to safety. He received treatment later at Salisbury District Hospital’s A&E.

The attacker is described as a white man, around 5ft 7in tall, moderately built, wearing dark jogging bottoms. The dog is black, bulldog-like, with a short snout.
