Man in 50s Found with Serious Head Injuries After Hit-and-Run in Ipswich
Emergency services rushed to Rowley Close just after 4.35am on Saturday 16 April after a man in his 50s was found lying injured in the road. The man suffered serious head wounds and was airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Fortunately, his condition has improved and he has been able to speak to police.
Hit-and-Run Probe Underway as Two Men Arrested
Detectives suspect the man was struck by a car that fled the scene. However, police are keeping an open mind. Two men in their twenties were arrested in connection with the incident and have been released on bail, due back on 12 May.
Road closures on Rowley Close have now been lifted as enquiries continue.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Officers want to hear from anyone near Rowley Close or Brooklands Road between 12.30am and 4.35am on Saturday. Motorists fitted with dashcams are urged to check their footage for any clues.
