A 17-year-old lad has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a violent attack at the Guru Nanak Darbar Gurdwara in Gravesend. Officers rushed to the religious site just after 8pm on Thursday, sparking a huge police operation.
Two people were hurt during the attack, but thankfully, their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. A significant police presence remains in the area tonight as investigations continue.

Police have set up cordons on Trinity Road and Khalsa Avenue, keeping locals away as they probe the incident. Officers confirmed they are not hunting any other suspects at this stage.

Kent Police was called at 8:10 pm on July 11 to a disturbance at a Gurdwara on Saddington Street, Gravesend. Two people sustained injuries that are not life-threatening and are being treated locally. A 17-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. Officers remain on scene while enquiries continue and are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident,” a police spokesperson said.
