Hit-and-Run Horror: 13-Year-Old Struck on Main Street
A 13-year-old boy was seriously injured after being hit by a small silver car on Main Street near the Clydesdale Bank at around 2.30pm on Monday, 5 April 2021. The driver sped off without stopping, leaving the youngster badly hurt and rushed to Wishaw General Hospital by ambulance.
Police Launch Appeal for Witnesses
Inspector George McCutcheon of 1 Police Station urged anyone with dashcam or mobile footage, or those who were nearby at the time, to come forward. “We need the public’s help to find the driver who fled the scene,” he said.
Driver Urged to Do the Right Thing
“I appeal directly to the motorist involved: please own up and get in touch,” added the inspector.
