Baby Girl Found Dead in Tottenham Home Sparks Murder Investigation

Detectives have launched a murder probe after a 10-week-old baby girl was found lifeless in a Tottenham property.

Tragic Discovery in Tottenham

London Ambulance Service rushed to a home in Tottenham, Haringey, N15, on the evening of 31 January after reports of an unresponsive infant. Baby Lily-Mai Saint George, just 10 weeks old, was quickly taken to North Middlesex Hospital and then transferred to Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Heartbreaking Outcome

Despite frantic medical efforts, Lily-Mai was pronounced dead at 13:35 on 2 February. Her grieving next of kin have been informed and formal identification has been completed.

Investigation and Arrests

A post-mortem examination took place, but the cause of death remains unknown pending further testing. Police arrested a 20-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman on suspicion of murder on 16 April. Both were taken to an east London police station and have since been released on bail with inquiries ongoing.
