Residents along A30 Stroud Lane have been forced from their homes as a fierce wildfire rages across Yateley Common, close to Blackwater.
Massive Fire Response: 15 Engines Battle Huge Flames
Fifteen fire engines from multiple services are battling the blaze. Crews from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue, Surrey, Royal Berkshire, plus specialist wildfire units from Yateley, Fleet, Hartley 1, and Rushmoor are all at the scene.
Drivers report flames shooting up to 30 feet into the sky, creating a towering wall of fire.
Residents Evacuated, Smoke Advisory Issued
Authorities have confirmed that all residents on Stroud Lane have been evacuated for safety. Those living nearby have been urged to keep windows and doors firmly shut as smoke chokes the area.
Emergency teams remain on high alert as they fight to gain control of the fast-moving fire.
