Two Suspects Try to Grab Jacket

Police in Horley are hunting witnesses after a brazen attempted robbery on Monday, 6 March. A teenage boy was walking along the high street between Lumley Road and Albert Road at about 3:20pm when two suspects tried to snatch his jacket.

Victim Fights Back, Suspects Flee

The attackers were described as a man with dark brown hair and stubble, wearing a grey jumper, and a second person sporting a face mask and black hoodie. The quick-thinking teen fought them off, forcing the pair to run away empty-handed.

Police Seek Witnesses

Officers want anyone who was nearby or spotted anything suspicious around the time to come forward. “We’re especially keen to speak to anyone who saw these two suspects or unusual behaviour on the high street,” said a police spokesperson.
