Teen Passenger Critically Injured in Nighttime Crash
Police, fire, and ambulance crews raced to the scene shortly after 1am following a single-vehicle smash. A Ford Mondeo had smashed into a wall on the A361.
18-Year-Old Woman in Life-Threatening Condition
The passenger, an 18-year-old woman, was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. Her family has been informed.
Driver Arrested on Multiple Serious Charges
The driver, also 18, was arrested at the scene. He faces charges including causing serious injury by dangerous driving, aggravated taking of a vehicle without consent, and driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. He remains in custody at Gablecross Police Station.
A361 Closed – Police Seek Witnesses
The A361 between Supermarine and Highworth roundabouts remains shut this morning as investigations continue. Authorities urge anyone who saw the crash or the vehicle beforehand, or who has dash cam footage, to come forward.
