Teenager Jeremiah Sewell Murdered in Beckenham
Jeremiah Sewell, 19, from Bellingham, has been named as the victim in a stabbing that ended his life. Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command confirmed his identity as the murder probe continues.
Four Arrested in Overnight Sweep
Police moved fast, making four arrests during raids overnight into the early hours of Sunday, July 17.
- A 19-year-old and an 18-year-old were held on suspicion of murder.
- A 21-year-old and a 26-year-old face charges of assisting an offender.
All four suspects remain in custody as detectives dig deeper.
Family Supported as Police Plead for Witnesses
“My thoughts continue to be with Jeremiah’s family and friends. They deserve to know what happened and who is responsible for his death,” said Detective Chief Inspector Chris Wood, leading the investigation.
“We’ve made significant progress but still need the public’s help. No piece of information is too small. Please come forward.”
Brutal Attack at Beckenham Place Park
Jeremiah was found with stab wounds to his neck after an attack around 4:40am while sitting in a parked car in Beckenham Place Park. He was rushed to a south London hospital but tragically died.
