Teenager stabbed to death in south London park – Four arrested
Victim named as Jeremiah Sewell, 19
Met Police have identified the victim of a fatal stabbing as 19-year-old Jeremiah Sewell from Bellingham. Jeremiah was rushed to a south London hospital with stab wounds to his neck after an attack in Beckenham Place Park at around 4:40am. Sadly, he later died in hospital.
Four suspects held in custody
Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command have made major breakthroughs. Overnight and into the early hours of Sunday, July 17th, they arrested four men linked to the case. A 19-year-old and an 18-year-old have been arrested on suspicion of murder. Meanwhile, a 21-year-old and a 26-year-old face charges of assisting an offender. All remain in police custody as the investigation continues.
Police urge public to come forward
“Jeremiah’s family deserves to know what happened to him and who was to blame for his death,” said Detective Chief Inspector Chris Wood. “We are making progress, but we still need the public to come forward with any information, no matter how small.”
