Teen Biker Hurt in Swindon Smash

Police are hunting witnesses after a motorbike crash in North Swindon yesterday evening.

Crash Details

At around 5.30pm on October 29, an 18-year-old local biker was heading east on Thamesdown Drive when he collided with a Peugeot 208 at the Oakhurst Way junction.

Serious Injuries

The young rider suffered arm and pelvis injuries. He was rushed to Great Western Hospital before being transferred to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for surgery. His family has been informed.

Police Appeal

The road stayed closed until nearly midnight while crash investigators examined the scene. Officers want anyone who saw the collision — or has dash cam footage — to come forward.

Witnesses should call 101 and quote log number 230 of October 29.
