Classroom Brawl Caught on Camera Sparks Outrage at Walderslade Girls’ School
A shocking video from Walderslade Girls’ School in Chatham shows a brutal fight erupting inside a classroom. The 30-second clip, recorded by a pupil, captures a group of girls exchanging punches and kicks, with a terrified girl desperately trying to fend off her attackers.
No Adults Step In Until Half a Minute In
Despite the chaos, no teachers intervene until 30 seconds into the video. The fight quickly escalates as tables are overturned and dozens of pupils gather, some filming the mayhem as others watch helplessly.
Parents Demand Answers Amid Claims of Racism and Bullying
The victim’s parents accuse the school of failing to protect their children. The girl’s mother, who wishes to remain anonymous, told us: “When I contacted the school, they suggested I move my three children elsewhere because my older kids were also bullied during their time there.”
“Bullying has to stop!”
The victim’s sister slammed the racial abuse linked to the violence, claiming her 15-year-old sibling has been bullied “because of the colour of her skin.” She posted multiple clips of the fight on Twitter, alleging some attackers belong to the traveller community, though this remains unconfirmed.
“They learnt the room code and racially assaulted my sister and her friends,” she said. “That room was meant to separate non-white children from traveller kids during breaks, but my sister was kicked and stamped on the head.”
School Reacts, But Concerns Mount
Acting headteacher Louise Campbell admitted the school is investigating the incident. She said in a statement: “We are devoted to stamping out violence, racism, homophobia and all discrimination. We are committed to the safety of all children and ask for community support during this time.”
However, anxiety remains high. Another video circulated showing an angry woman threatening pupils on a school bus.
A worried parent revealed: “My daughter is a person of colour and messaged me this morning asking to be picked up because she’s terrified. She’s only 12 and too scared to walk down the corridor.”
She added: “This isn’t new. Over the past three years, there have been race riots at that school. The racism is atrocious.”
The school has been pressed for further comment on these serious allegations.
