Tragic Pedestrian Death on Harrow Road at 3am
A man in his 50s was tragically killed in a shocking crash on Harrow Road at around 3:05am this morning. The pedestrian collided with a blue Mercedes C300, sending shockwaves through the local community.
Driver Arrested on Dangerous Driving Charges
Emergency services rushed to the scene, including officers from the Metropolitan Police and the London Ambulance Service. Despite their best efforts, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Mercedes driver, a man in his 20s, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drugs. The vehicle came to a stop immediately after the collision.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
Road closures remain in place as police carry out a full investigation. Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward.
“Road closures remain in place while we conduct a thorough examination of the scene. We are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact us on 101, quoting CAD 1453/10SEP23, or via Twitter @MetCC,” said a police spokesperson.
