Eastbourne Shock: Man Seriously Injured in Brutal Unprovoked Attack

Last night, Sussex Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECamb) scrambled to Seaside Road, Eastbourne after reports of a violent assault at around 6:00 pm.
Officers found a 50-year-old local man seriously injured from what’s been described as an unprovoked attack. He was rushed to hospital where medics confirmed his injuries are severe but, thankfully, not life-threatening.
Suspect Arrested and Held for GBH
A swift police response led to the arrest of a 39-year-old Eastbourne man. He now faces charges of grievous bodily harm and remains in custody pending further inquiry.
A police spokesperson said: “This is an isolated incident and the suspect is currently held for GBH. There is no threat to the wider public.”
