Armed officers also rushed to nearby Borough Market where they tackled reports of stabbings linked to the early attack. Police confirmed they were attending another incident in Vauxhall, warning the public to steer clear of the areas as investigations continue.
The London Bridge station remains shut, and police urge everyone to avoid the vicinity until the situation is under control.
