Violent Gang Storms Couple’s Driveway to Snatch Watches in Hordle
Police launch urgent appeal after vicious gang attacks husband and wife on their driveway in Hordle. The assault happened as Giles and Eli Waite returned home on February 27, with the gang targeting their luxury watches in a brutal robbery.
Family Business Under Threat After Shocking Attack
The Waite couple, who run a family business in nearby Lymington, believe they were deliberately targeted. Following the raid, they say trading is now too risky. The thugs stole watches and personal items, but it’s the violent assault on Eli that has enraged Giles.
“I’m still awake and my wife doesn’t sleep at all. She keeps the lights on all night. We’ve been asked to go to southampton/" title="Southampton" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked">Southampton hospital tomorrow to check her jaw out,” Giles told Hampshire and IOW News. “It’s had a hideous effect on our lives. We’re not sure if we want to continue in our business.”
Giles added, “I’ve had an interesting life in motorcycle racing and the film industry, but I think it’s time to retire. It’s just too dangerous now.”
Massive £23,000 Reward Offered to Nab The Gang
The gang made off in a Honda Civic, believed to be from 2006-2008, displaying the number plate CE08 UAA. Police urge anyone who recognises the vehicle or suspects involved to come forward immediately.
Mr Waite has sold personal treasures and received donations to put together a hefty £23,000 reward to catch those responsible.
“Thank you to everyone who has sent lovely messages, support, and flowers to my wife Eli,” Giles said. “Her face is black and blue, but she’s starting to eat solid food again. She hasn’t been able to return to work yet.”

The scary attack happened at precisely 6.22pm on Thursday, February 27. No arrests have been made so far.
