Man Stabbed in West Ham Park as Police Launch Urgent Probe
Heroic Response: Police and Ambulance Rush to Scene
A 33-year-old man was stabbed in West Ham Park, Newham, sparking a major emergency response. The London Ambulance Service alerted the Metropolitan Police at 10:54am on Tuesday, July 29 after reports of a stabbing in the park.
The victim was rushed to hospital with stab wounds. Thankfully, police say his injuries are not life-threatening. Officers recovered a knife from the scene.
West Ham Park Locked Down as Crime Scene
The entire park has been shut temporarily while police conduct a full investigation. Detectives are combing the area but have not made any arrests yet.
“The park has been closed as a temporary measure as a crime scene remains in place. No arrests have been made,” a Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed.
