Tragedy as Man Dies in West Hampstead Flat Fire

A blaze tore through part of a second-floor flat in a converted semi-detached house, ending in tragedy. Firefighters bravely rescued a man from the second floor using an internal staircase, but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Two Others Treated for Smoke Inhalation

Two more people were treated on site by the London Ambulance Service after suffering from smoke inhalation. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown as investigations continue.

Rapid Response from Fire Brigade

  • The Brigade was called at 11:47am and had the fire under control by 12:49pm.
  • Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters from West Hampstead, Euston, Hendon, and nearby stations battled the blaze.

Authorities are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward as they work to establish the fire’s cause.
