A45 SHUT AFTER PEDESTRIAN HIT IN NORTHAMPTONSHIRE CRASH
The A45 is closed both ways between the A428 and A508 following a serious collision involving a pedestrian and a car. Northamptonshire Police and emergency crews are on scene conducting a full investigation, set to last throughout the evening.
Eastbound Traffic Diverted – Follow Solid Square Signs
- Exit A45 at Queen Eleanor Roundabout
- Take 2nd exit onto A608 northbound
- Continue to junction with A5123 (St John’s Street / Victoria Gardens)
- Turn left onto A5123 (Victoria Promenade) heading east
- At A428 roundabout, turn right onto Bedford Road (A428)
- Rejoin A45 at Barnes Meadow Roundabout
Westbound Traffic Routed via Hollow Square Signs
- Exit A45 at Barnes Meadow Roundabout
- Take 2nd exit onto dedicated A45 lane towards Brackmills
- At Brackmills Roundabout, take 1st exit onto Caswell Road southbound
- Pass first two roundabouts on Caswell Road
- At 3rd roundabout, take 2nd exit onto Landimore Road westbound
- Continue to Newport Pagnell Road roundabout
- Join B526, pass through 2 roundabouts
- Rejoin A45 at Queen Eleanor Road
Motorists warned to expect delays and follow diversion signs carefully until the road reopens.
