Hundreds Attend Firefighter Arron’s Touching Memorial in Aldershot

Hundreds gathered to pay tribute to Arron Jepp, a beloved firefighter and friend, at a moving service outside the Cathedral Church of St Michael and St George on Queens Avenue, Aldershot. Colleagues formed a solemn Guard of Honour along the street, showing the deep respect for a man who served his community with dedication.

Beloved Firefighter and Family Man

Arron left behind not only a remarkable career but also a loving home, a grandfather to two grandchildren, and cherished family and friends. His passing has touched many hearts across the Rushmoor area.

Tributes Pour In from Fire Service Leaders

Chief Fire Officer Neil Odin said:

“Arron was a dedicated firefighter and a much-loved friend and colleague to many people across our Service. He organised countless station events and mentored young people through the Prince’s Trust as a team leader. Arron will be sadly missed by us all, and our thoughts are with his family, friends, and colleagues during this incredibly sad time.”

Station Manager Simon Forster added:

“Arron was one of the good guys. He was never too busy to help anyone and was part of the fabric of Rushmoor. His positivity and caring nature will live on in our hearts forever.”

Group Manager Ryan Thurman also paid tribute:

“Arron’s smile never faded, even during his recent illness. His infectious positivity was truly inspirational. He was a great friend and colleague who will be deeply missed. His legacy will live on.”

From Firefighter Uniform to Memory Bears

In a heartfelt tribute, Arron’s firefighter uniform was transformed into memory bears and cushions to honour his spirit.

Sew Vintage, who crafted these special keepsakes, said:

“I was truly honoured to create these memory bears and cushions from the uniform and clothes of a hugely loved and missed firefighter, Arron Jepp. Rest in peace.”

Arron joined the fire service in 2002 and served as a wholetime and on-call watch manager. He was also one of the original on-call support officers, known for his commitment to the service and his local community.

Our thoughts remain with Arron’s family, friends, and all who knew him in this time of loss.
