A man injured in a road traffic smash on Upper Wickham Lane yesterday afternoon is now in stable condition, police have confirmed.

The collision happened just after 1:30pm on Thursday, September 5. Metropolitan Police officers and London Ambulance Service paramedics rushed to the scene where the man was found injured. He was swiftly taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Today, police confirmed the man’s injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing. The crash involved a car and a pedestrian. No further details about the pedestrian have been released.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “On Thursday, 5 September, police were called at 13:32 hrs following reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian. Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service, who took the pedestrian — a man — to a nearby hospital. Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
