Mohammed Khan, a recent arrival from Afghanistan, vanished in south London less than a month after his arrival. The 4’11” teen, who speaks limited English and only Pashto, was last spotted in Deptford playing football.

Last Seen Leaving Home to Play Football

On Tuesday, 30 November at around 4pm, Mohammed left his Deptford address to play football in a nearby park. When he didn’t return, police were alerted and launched a high-risk missing person investigation.

Mohammed was wearing black jeans, a black puffa jacket, and a black hat with a Chicago Bulls logo. With no knowledge of the area and limited English, officers fear he could be in danger.

“We are growing increasingly concerned as we enter the second night since Mohammed went missing,” said Acting Detective Inspector Lara Pink of the South East Missing Persons Unit. “He is in an unfamiliar country, doesn’t speak much English, and may have come into contact with people who wish him harm.”

How to Help

  • If you see Mohammed, call 999 immediately with reference 7180/01DEC.
  • For other information, contact police on 101 or anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Time is ticking, and the hunt for Mohammed Khan continues.
