DLR Halted After Tragic Death Near Poplar Station
Emergency Crews Rush to Poplar
The Docklands Light Railway (DLR) was thrown into chaos this morning after a fatality on the tracks near Poplar station at around 8am. Emergency teams raced to the scene, but sadly a person was pronounced dead. No details have been released about the victim.
Major Service Disruptions Hit Commuters
- Trains suspended between Stratford and Canary Wharf.
- No service running between Poplar and Canning Town.
- Elsewhere, the DLR carried on as usual.
British Transport Police Open Investigation
A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called at around 8am today (3 December) to reports of a casualty on the tracks at Poplar DLR station. Officers responded with paramedics; however, sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries into the circumstances leading up to their death are ongoing.”
