Serious Crash Shakes Crawley: Teen Cyclist Hurts in Volkswagen Smash

Police launch urgent appeal for witnesses after an 18-year-old cyclist was seriously hurt in a collision with a dark-coloured Volkswagen Golf on College Road, Crawley.

The smash happened around 5:20pm on Monday, 10 March, causing chaos on College Road. Emergency crews rushed to the scene, quickly taking the injured teen to hospital. Thankfully, the VW driver escaped unscathed.

Authorities shut part of College Road temporarily, diverting traffic and triggering delays while they carried out their initial investigations.

Police Hunt for Key Witnesses and Cam Footage

Police want anyone who saw the collision or caught it on dash cam to come forward now. They’re especially interested in drivers nearby at the time who might have recorded vital evidence.

“We are appealing to anyone who saw this collision or has footage that could help our investigation to contact us as soon as possible,” said a Sussex Police spokesperson.
