Serious Crash Closes Crown Street, Dagenham

Emergency crews rushed to a major road smash at the busy junction of Crown Street and Dagenham Road at around 5:30pm on Saturday, 3 May 2025.

Possible Trapped Victims as Three Vehicles Collide

Reports say some people could have been trapped inside vehicles following the three-car pile-up. Firefighters from the London Fire Brigade, police, and paramedics were quickly on the scene to help.

Road Closures and Traffic Chaos

The crash forced a full shutdown of Crown Street near St Giles Avenue, bringing traffic in the Dagenham area to a standstill for hours.

Public transport took a hit too. Route 145 buses towards Leytonstone were rerouted along Ballards Road, Rainham Road South, Oxlow Lane, Heathway, and Hedgemans Road, causing major delays.

Clearance and Investigation Still Underway

Siviter Way, also affected by the crash, was finally reopened around 10:27pm, easing some traffic woes.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the collision. No official word yet on injuries.

Motorists have been urged to steer clear of the area while emergency services finish their work.
