Hayling Park Play Area Set for Exciting Summer Makeover – Have Your Say!
This summer, Hayling Park’s play area is getting a major upgrade – and the council wants you on board! Expect brand-new, thrilling equipment including climbing nets, basket swings, and accessible gear for wheelchair users.
Drop-In Events to Shape the New Play Space
Residents can check out the designs and share their views at drop-in consultations on Tuesday 1 May and Tuesday 8 May, from 5pm to 7pm, at the Hayling Island Community Centre. This is your chance to influence how the revamped play area will look and function.
Community-Driven Design for All Ages and Abilities
The project, backed and funded by Havant Borough Council and Play Parks for Hayling, aims to create a unique play spot that welcomes all ages and abilities. Feedback from these consultations will shape the final plans before work kicks off in June.
Leah Turner, Secretary for Play Parks for Hayling, said: “We are delighted that in partnership with Havant Borough Council, the refurbishment of the Play Park in Hayling Park can begin.”
