Heroic Rescue of Stranded Springer Spaniel at Pagham Harbour

A panicked Springer Spaniel named Hendrix was saved in a dramatic water rescue at Pagham Harbour yesterday.

Selsey Coastguard Team Springs Into Action

At 8.58am, the Selsey Coastguard was called after Hendrix got stuck on a mud bank, unable to swim back to shore. The dog had jumped into the water but quickly found himself stranded and distressed.

Rescue With a Side of Treats

Using their specialist Water Rescue Raft, the team paddled out to Hendrix. Armed with dog treats to calm him down, they managed to coax the frightened pooch safely aboard.

Once ashore, Hendrix wagged his tail, clearly happy to see his rescuers. The heartwarming reunion with his grateful owners touched everyone present.
