The A249 northbound between M20 Junction 7 roundabout and Stockbury roundabout is shutting down from 10pm Friday, 4 March to 5am Monday, 7 March 2022. Utility pipe work means no access northbound from M20 Junction 7.

Follow These Diversions for a Smooth Journey

For motorway traffic:

1. Take M20 westbound towards Junction 6.
2. Exit M20 at Junction 6 onto A229 northbound towards Gillingham.
3. At Lord Lees roundabout, take the third exit onto A229.
4. At next roundabout, take the third exit onto M2 eastbound towards Canterbury.
5. Exit M2 at Junction 5 eastbound slip onto Stockbury interchange.
6. Continue your journey from there.

For non-motorway traffic:

1. Take A249 into Maidstone.
2. Turn right onto A229 northbound towards Gillingham.
3. Follow to A2 roundabout and take second exit onto A2 eastbound towards Sittingbourne.
4. At Key Street roundabout, take fifth exit onto A249 southbound towards Maidstone.
