Ryde Lifeboat Rescues Stranded RIB at Langstone Harbour
The Ryde Inshore Rescue lifeboat sprang into action early Saturday morning. A small rigid inflatable boat (RIB) had broken down right at the entrance to Langstone Harbour, Portsmouth.
Coastguard Calls for Help
The UK Coastguard quickly requested lifeboat assistance after receiving reports of the disabled vessel. The Ryde crew didn’t waste time moving to the scene.
Swift Tow to Safety
After arriving, the Ryde team fastened a tow line to the stranded RIB. They safely escorted the boat and its occupants back to a nearby yacht club slipway without incident.
Mission Complete – Time for a Brew
After the rescue, the crew called in at Portsmouth RNLI for a well-earned coffee break, wrapping up their smooth and speedy rescue mission.
