Body Found in Thames Near Westminster – Linked to Missing Man
Police recovered a man’s body from the River Thames near Embankment, Westminster, on Tuesday morning. The RNLI alerted officers at 11.51am on 4 January after reports of a body in the water.
Officers from the Met’s Marine Support Unit retrieved the body, which is being treated as unexplained. Formal identification is pending, but detectives searching for missing 20-year-old Harvey Parker have been notified.
Family Informed as Investigation Continues
Police liaison officers have informed Mr Parker’s family of the grim developments. A report is being prepared for the Coroner.
“Sadly a body has been recovered from the river near where Harvey was last seen. We are providing Harvey’s family with all the available information,” said Detective Chief Inspector Lucy O’Connor. “We ask the media to respect the family’s privacy at this challenging and difficult time.”
Last Seen Leaving Westminster Nightclub
Mr Parker was last spotted leaving Heaven Nightclub near Charing Cross Railway Station at around 2.15am on Friday, 17 December.
Police continue their investigation as the community awaits answers.
