First Photo of Nurse Killed in Southend Air Ambulance Crash Released
The first picture has been shared of Feña (Maria Fernanda Rojas Ortiz), the 31-year-old nurse tragically killed in yesterday’s private medical jet crash at Southend Airport. Feña was on her very first day working aboard a private air ambulance when disaster struck.
Fatal Crash on Take-Off
The twin-engined Beechcraft B200 Super King Air nosedived shortly after take-off and burst into flames, killing all four people on board. Feña’s friends described her as “beloved by many” and deeply mourned her sudden loss.
Friends Launch Fundraiser for Family
In a heartfelt tribute, colleagues and friends have set up a fundraiser to support Feña’s grieving family. “The pain of her loss is unimaginable,” they said. “All donations will be handled with full transparency and used wherever the family needs most.”
The fundraising effort is rapidly spreading through networks of healthcare workers, colleagues, and international friends.
Air Accident Investigation Underway
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) is actively investigating the cause of the fatal crash. Zeusch Aviation, operator of the aircraft, has pledged full cooperation and offered condolences to the victims’ families.
