Lifeboats Launch Urgent Search After Clothes Found on Brighton Beach
Shoreham lifeboats were scrambled this afternoon after a pile of clothes was spotted on Brighton beach. Newhaven and Shoreham Coastguard teams joined the hunt, but the search came up empty.
Dramatic Jet Ski Rescue Off Saltdean
Shortly after, the all-weather lifeboat swung into action again to save two stranded jet skiers off Saltdean. The lifeboat’s inflatable Y boat was launched, retrieving both casualties along with their broken-down jet ski.
All were safely ferried back to Newhaven Marina, where they were met by Newhaven Coastguard.
