Drivers were thrown into chaos on Sunday night, April 27, after a black Toyota Prius sparked a high-speed police chase through Sidley and Bexhill. The drama ignited around 9:30pm in Glovers Lane when officers tried to pull over the Prius during a routine traffic stop.
Instead of stopping, the driver smashed into police vehicles and sped off, forcing officers to give chase. The nail-biting pursuit ended near North Road and Watermill Lane when specially trained police finally brought the runaway car to a safe halt.
