Man Dies in Horrific Ballam Road Hit-and-Run

Tragedy struck last night on Ballam Road when a man in his 50s was struck by a Ford Mondeo and killed instantly.

Crash Details Emerge

Police were called to the scene at around 9pm on Thursday, April 1st following reports of the collision. Despite emergency efforts, the local man suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed.

Investigation Underway – Road Shut For Six Hours

Officers closed Ballam Road for six hours to carry out a full collision investigation. Sgt Martin Wilcock of Tactical Operations appealed for witnesses.

“This collision has very sadly resulted in a man losing his life. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this time. We urge anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the victim shortly before it to come forward. We are particularly keen to hear from anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage.”

Red Peugeot Debris Raises Questions

Police also want info on debris from a red Peugeot found at the scene. CCTV suggests it was not involved in the crash, but officers want to know how it ended up there.
