Woman Forced Into Car in Stratford – Police Launch Urgent Appeal
Police are hunting witnesses after a woman was forced into a car by two men in Stratford.
Silver Mercedes Hatchback Spotted Driving Away
The shocking incident happened around 9pm on Wednesday, 8 April, on The Grove, E15. Officers say the woman was pushed into a silver hatchback, possibly a Mercedes, with a partial licence plate ‘LL19.’
The car sped off down Manbey Grove heading towards Water Lane. Just two minutes later, it was seen passing Maryland Station, then turning right back towards The Grove.
Detective Pleads for Public Help
“I need to trace the occupants of this vehicle and the woman who was reportedly forced into the car to ensure she is safe and well,” said Detective Constable Kevin Murphy of North East CID.
“We are checking CCTV and missing person reports, but so far no matches have been found. This investigation continues with the utmost seriousness.”
