A303 Eastbound Shut After Massive Lorry Smash
Chaos erupted on the A303 eastbound near Upper Bullington after a serious crash involving two lorries just past the A34 junction. The road is completely closed, sparking huge delays for drivers heading from 1.
Lorries Collide Near Norton Village
The crash happened just before the entrance to 1. One of the vehicles was a fully loaded bulk tanker, while the other ended up in the hedgerow. Emergency services rushed to the scene to recover both vehicles.
Massive Delays and Trapped HGVs
Drivers have reported delays of up to an hour trying to navigate around the closure. Several other large goods vehicles are stuck behind the shutdown, unable to get through while recovery efforts continue.
Police Confirm No Injuries
“Thankfully no injuries,” Police said. “The A303 eastbound from Bullington Cross has been closed, but we’re working hard to reopen the road.”
UPDATE 11:50: Both lorries have now been removed by Police and Highways England. The eastbound closure has been lifted and traffic is slowly returning to normal.
