Police Hunt Flasher Who Traumatised Woman on Shoreham Harbour Beach
Police are on the hunt for a man who exposed himself to a young woman on Shoreham Harbour beach. The terrifying ordeal happened on Tuesday, June 13, near Basin Road South, also known as 1 Harbour Beach, close to the power station.
Kayaker Chased Suspect, Then Vanished
After the incident, a kayaker – described as a white man – chased the flasher but then left the scene in a white van with a kayak on its roof. Officers want to trace this van driver, who could hold crucial information.
Victim Too Scared to Return
“This was a frightening experience for the woman, who is vulnerable and now too scared to go back to the beach,” said Detective Constable Vicky Stenning.
Not only did the suspect expose himself, but he also grabbed the woman as she tried to leave. The attacker then fled in what’s believed to be a silver Renault Clio.
