Shock Crash on A3290: 18 Injured in School Coach and Bus Smash
Morning Mayhem on Busy Berkshire Slip Road
A nasty collision between a school coach and a bus on the A3290 slip road near Sutton Seeds Roundabout, Earley, has left 18 people hurt, including nine schoolchildren. The smash happened at around 8:25 AM during rush hour chaos.
The coach driver and nine children suffered minor injuries. Meanwhile, eight adults on the bus were also injured. Emergency crews were quick on the scene, with South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) confirming one child and one adult may need hospital treatment.
Fire Breaks Out, Emergency Services Rush In
SCAS initially responded to reports of a vehicle fire but found both the wrecked vehicles and the bus engine burning. The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service quickly doused the flames and helped the casualties.
Thames Valley Police, SCAS, and RBFRS have warned drivers to avoid the area due to ongoing emergency operations and severe traffic disruption.
