Massive Search Launched for Missing Woman on Isle of Wight

Hampshire Police and volunteers from WightSAR are scrambling this morning in a desperate hunt for a woman missing from a Little Canada PGL Adventure in Wootton, Isle of Wight.

Missing for 48 Hours, No Phone or Cash

Rosie Johnson, from Glasgow, has not been seen since the evening of Sunday, 23 June, leaving rescuers worried sick. She has been missing for 48 hours with no phone or cash to her name.

Description and Search Efforts

  • Rosie has mousey brown hair and a slim build.
  • Last seen wearing a dark blue puffa jacket and trousers.

Local residents are on alert, shown photos of Rosie to aid the search. The National Police Air Service helicopter is currently conducting aerial sweeps over the woodland between Fishbourne and Wootton.

Further support comes from Ryde Rescue and two Island Coastguard teams based at Needles and Bembridge.
