Bomb Squad Buzz at Selsey Beach After Ordnance Found

On March 16, the Selsey Coastguard Team sprang into action after reports of suspected ordnance at Medmerry Beach, West Sussex. They quickly located and documented several dangerous items, cordoned off the area, and alerted the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) experts.

EOD Team Blows Up Hazards, Clears the Beach

The EOD squad arrived to assess the threat. Some bombs were safely detonated on site, while others were carefully removed for disposal. Officials warned the public that any ordnance found on the beach, no matter the size or shape, can be extremely volatile.
