Pregnant Carrie Johnson Announces New Baby Due This Christmas
Carrie Johnson has revealed she is pregnant again, expecting a sibling for baby Wilfred this Christmas. The news comes after a heartbreaking miscarriage earlier this year.
Emotional Announcement on Social Media
Sharing her journey on Instagram, Mrs Johnson opened up about her struggles, saying, “Miscarriage can be really hard for many people, especially when on platforms like Instagram it looks like everything is perfect.”
She added, “I found it a real comfort to hear from people who had also experienced loss, so I hope that in some very small way, sharing this might help others.”
Accompanied by a photo of a Christmas tree bauble shaped like a pram, she said, “Hoping for our rainbow baby this Christmas.”
Family Growing for the Prime Minister and Wife
Wilfred, the couple’s first child, was born in April 2020. Boris Johnson, 57, remains father to at least six children from previous relationships, making this new arrival potentially his seventh.
The pregnancy news was revealed just two months after the couple’s quiet wedding at Westminster Cathedral.
Facing Miscarriage With Strength and Hope
Reflecting on her miscarriage earlier this year, Mrs Johnson said, “I feel incredibly blessed to be pregnant again but I’ve also felt like a bag of nerves.”
She hopes her openness will support others who have experienced similar pain.
Prime Minister’s Whereabouts
Downing Street confirmed that Boris Johnson was due to stay at Chequers over the weekend. It’s unclear if Carrie accompanied him.
The couple’s latest bundle of joy is expected to bring even more happiness to their expanding family.
