Dover Lifeboat and Rescue Helicopter Scramble to Save Struggling Swimmers
The Dover RNLI all-weather lifeboat was urgently dispatched just after 12.30pm on Thursday. Reports came in of two people in distress in the water near The Leas, Folkestone.
Full Rescue Team Deployed
Rescue helicopter 163 from Lydd joined the mission, combing the shoreline from above. Meanwhile, a second lifeboat from Littlestone and Folkestone Coastguard search and rescue teams rushed to the scene to assist.
Ongoing Dramatic Search for Two in Trouble
The rescue helicopter is currently carrying out a thorough shoreline sweep as the teams coordinate their efforts.
