Two Injured in Serious Thamesmead Crash
Two people have been rushed to hospital after a major road traffic collision in Thamesmead. The smash happened at the busy junction of Eastern Way and the A2016 on Monday evening, July 15. Emergency services arrived quickly on the scene.
Rapid Emergency Response
The London Ambulance Service was called at 8:47 PM and wasted no time dispatching ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer, and the iconic London Air Ambulance. The first responders were on-site within six minutes of the call.
Serious Injuries Treated at the Scene
Emergency teams treated two injured individuals immediately. Both victims were then taken to major trauma centres, with one rushed in as a priority due to serious injuries.
“We were called at 8:47 PM on Monday, July 15, to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction of Eastern Way and A2016, Thamesmead. We sent ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, an incident response officer, and London’s Air Ambulance. Our first crew arrived within six minutes. Two patients were treated and taken to a London major trauma centre, one as a priority,” said a London Ambulance Service spokesperson.
Investigation Underway
