IT Meltdown Hits SECAmb Emergency Services

SECAmb’s IT systems are in chaos, sabotaging vital emergency response dispatch. Executive Director of Operations Emma Williams revealed the crisis in a frank update.

Stand-Alone System Kicks In

“We continue to suffer major IT system glitches, crippling our Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD),” said Emma. “Thankfully, this morning (Friday 11 November), we switched to operating CAD on a standalone system from our East Emergency Operations Centre in Coxheath, Kent.”

She added that teams are working non-stop with IT providers to fix the mess for good.

Heroes Behind the Scenes

Emma praised staff and volunteers for battling the disruption. “They’re working incredibly hard to manage this impact and sort the fault swiftly,” she said.

Call 999 Only for Serious Emergencies

With partial CAD restored, SECAmb is handling this as an internal Business Continuity Incident. Emma urged the public: “Please only call 999 if it’s a serious emergency to help us manage demand.”
