Dramatic Rescue: Yarmouth Lifeboat Rushes to Stranded Yacht in Colwell Bay
Emergency Callout Off Isle of Wight
The Yarmouth lifeboat and the Needles Coastguard were scrambled just before 3pm on Saturday, June 15th, to help a yacht in trouble off Colwell Bay, Isle of Wight.
Double Trouble on the Water
While heading to the first yacht, the lifeboat stopped to assist a second vessel that had lost its mast. That rescue was handed over to the Lymington lifeboat, which was also launched to help.
Rescue Operation Underway
Both lifeboats and coastguard teams are currently on the scene, working to bring the stranded sailors to safety. More updates to follow.
