Bognor Teen Slapped with Criminal Behaviour Order to Stop Crime Spree
A 17-year-old from Bognor Regis has been hit with a tough Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) aimed at stamping out his repeated run-ins with the law.

Mason McGarry has a history of trouble, including convictions for assault and affray. Sussex Police pushed for the CBO, which was approved by Brighton Magistrates’ Court on 9 December.
Strict Conditions to Keep McGarry in Check
The order lasts one year and comes with serious restrictions. McGarry must not:
- Hang out with three named individuals;
- Step foot in Brickfield Close, Bognor Regis;
- Enter Collyer Avenue, Bognor Regis, unless accompanied by his mother or a responsible adult;
- Behave or encourage others to behave antisocially, causing harassment, alarm, or distress anywhere in Sussex;
- Wear or carry any face coverings like balaclavas, snoods, bandanas, scarves, or similar, except for legal surgical masks indoors.
He must also inform Sussex Police within three days of any change in ownership or use of a vehicle.
Police Warn: Shape Up or Face Action
Sergeant Sam Fenner, from the Arun and Chichester Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:
“This Criminal Behaviour Order targets McGarry’s disruptive and frequent offences that have impacted the local community.“It’s a two-way street. If he chooses to live a law-abiding life, this order protects him. But if he continues offending, officers now have a powerful tool to act swiftly.”
