Police hunt Golf Club Thieves after Thousands Stolen from Romsey Shop

Police have released CCTV images after limited edition Arsenal FC golf clubs were stolen from a shop in Romsey. Print Between 10.10pm and 10.30pm on Wednesday, October 12, three men wearing balaclavas got out of a white van outside the 121 Golf Shop on Premier Way, before breaking into the store. A large selection of high value golf clubs, worth around £40,000 in total, were stolen. Among the stolen goods were: – Taylor Made M1 drivers – Limited edition Cobra Arsenal Football Club drivers – Cobra Fly-z drivers with blue heads – Cobra Fly-z+ drivers with orange heads – Nike Golf Vapor Fly drivers – Various Callaway golf clubs Police have released three CCTV images of the events leading up to the burglary. The first two images relate to an incident the previous night, Tuesday October 11, when a group of men got out of a Vauxhall Signum which was parked at the Basepoint Business Centre between 7pm and 8pm. They were seen to look into the windows of the golf shop. Police Hunt Golf Club Thieves After Thousands Stolen From Romsey Shop The third CCTV image shows the white Ford Transit van, and a man wearing a balaclava looking out of the vehicle, shortly before the burglary took place the following evening. PC Brad Manning said: “We would like to hear from anyone who can help us identify the man wearing a hooded top shown in the first CCTV image, as we believe he may be involved in the incident. “If anyone saw a group of men acting suspiciously in this area on either of the evenings, we would like to hear from you too. “In addition, we would like to talk to any members of the public who saw either of the vehicles shown in these images. “This offence involved a lot of high value equipment being stolen. The Arsenal golf clubs are particularly unique as there are only 500 available, and each one is numbered out of 500 on the head. “I would advise anyone who comes across items of this description up for sale to contact police immediately.” Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Manning on 101, quoting 44160386383, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
